This is the stealth mission. I stay hidden in a pre-agreed spot with a long lens, waiting for the two of you to arrive. At the perfect moment down on one knee I “take the shot” from a distance. This is especially great for open views, wide landscapes, or rooftop settings where I can’t be too close without raising suspicion.
3. “The Photoshoot surprise”
Probably the safest and most relaxed way to plan a surprise proposal. Instead of hiding the photographer, you surprise your partner with a professional couple photoshoot in St. Moritz. The photoshoot itself is real, the proposal is the secret.

After skiing down from Corvatsch, Ryan and Nelia were flown by private helicopter to a remote peak. Just a short walk through the forest from St. Moritz, Lej da Staz is one of my favorite locations for an intimate surprise proposal. Surrounded by alpine woodland, peaceful water and beautiful mountain scenery, it offers a more secluded atmosphere away from the busy town.
One particularly memorable proposal took place here in June when unexpected snowfall transformed the surrounding mountains into a beautiful winter-like backdrop. The groom proposed on the wooden jetty overlooking the lake, followed by a relaxed engagement session along the forest paths.

On a private snowy trail, with the valley spread wide below them, he asked the question. I hid among the trees (“sniper” style) to capture the exact moment. The surrounding forest and fresh snow gave us a fairytale backdrop for a quiet, natural portrait session.
🌅 Muottas Muragl Terrace – Alpenglow Magic Above the Lakes
This proposal happened at golden hour on the terrace of Hotel Romantik. I blended in with guests, pretending to take landscape photos. As she turned around to see him kneeling with the mountains behind as the sun hit the peaks.
