Fashion Portrait Session at Trutz, St. Moritz
Some portrait sessions are less about documenting a specific moment and more about creating a feeling.
Grasilė wanted a short fashion-inspired portrait session in St. Moritz — something clean, editorial and slightly cinematic with the winter landscape as part of the story. For this shoot we headed to the area around Trutz where the snow, mountain views and alpine architecture gave us a simple but striking backdrop.
Her all-white outfit worked beautifully with the surroundings. Instead of fighting the brightness of the snow we leaned into it: soft whites, pale winter tones, strong sunglasses, textured fur, and the quiet drama of the mountains in the background.
A fashion editorial feeling in the Alps
The goal was not to create traditional posed portraits. We kept the session more fluid, mixing close-up portraits, wide mountain scenes and a few movement-based frames.
The result feels somewhere between a fashion editorial and a personal portrait session — clean, minimal, a little bold, and very St. Moritz.
Trutz and its surroundings are especially interesting for this kind of shoot because the location offers more than just a mountain view. There are wooden textures, stone walls, ski details, open snowfields and dramatic alpine lines. That variety helps create a stronger visual story even within a short session.
