Italian wedding at Amber bride by Sorg Villa

My favourite weddings always come by the end of summers. This year it wasn’t different. I had such an amazing, energetic Italian wedding at Amber Bride by Sorg Villa. It was a venue with full of emotions, laughter and lovely people.  Vale and Paolo hired me for my documentary style what I always love to hear. Apart from the church ceremony there was nothing strictly scheduled so the entire day was typical Italian “dolce vita”

Paolo’s getting ready at Mercure Castle Hill

Paolo, The groom had a quick preparation with some of his good friends. The location was at Mercure Castle Hill which was really close to the ceremony held at Mathias Church on the Castle Hill.

Vale’s getting ready at Hilton Budapest

After the groom’s getting ready Dani, the cinematogrpaher and me went to the bride’s room at Hilton Budapest By that time the ladies were already in the middle of making the hair and the make-up  I always recommend to my couples that for the getting ready hours invite friends, sisters, brothers to enhance to mood. The room had a superb view to the Fisherman’s Bastion.

Ceremony at Matthias Church

The church ceremony was held at the beautiful, Gothic styled Matthias Church which is located just a few steps from the hotel. It was a very funny move that Vale arrived to the church by car in spite of the close distance. I love this church for it’s grandiose entrance with the huge church gate and the steps. This architectural feature with the harsh backlight makes the entry so dramatic and elegant.

After the ceremony we had some nice gratulation moments with – of course – a lot of hugs. Before we drove to the reception location we had some time to make a few portraits.

Dinner and reception at Amber Bride by Sorg Villa

The reception took place at the charming  Sorg Villa located in Leányfalu just a 40 mins drive from the heart of the capital. It has a long and adventurous history. Built as private villa in the beginning of the 20th century but later it was sold and its life took a long journey. It has functioned among others as a soviet HQ or summer residence for politicians. Nowadays it is a popular wedding and filming location.

Vale and Paolo chose this place for it’s pleasant location and for its Italian-styled atmosphere.

We had lovely weather so the dinner could have held outdoor under the shimmering lights. During the dinner Andrea – the couple’s good friend –  provided the music with his piano play and awesome vocals.

The long and eventful dinner was finished with a sparkling entry and with the cake cutting. So finally the crazy party could have begun….

That was one of my favourite weddings in the past years. No fussing and worrying, filled with the joy of the families and friends and of course full of subtle moments that I love to catch.
