Bernina Gran Turismo 25′
Classic cars.
Alpine roads.
Engines echoing through the Bernina Pass.
Bernina Gran Turismo is one of those events where the setting is just as important as the cars.
The road, the mountains, the light, the people waiting on the roadside — everything becomes part of the story.
The road becomes a stage
On the Bernina Pass, historic cars are not only displayed.
They are driven.
Fast, loud, imperfect, alive.
That is what makes this event visually so strong: the cars belong to the landscape, but they also cut through it.
Speed, details, atmosphere
For me, Bernina Gran Turismo is not only about photographing rare cars.
It is about movement.
Dust and tarmac.
Hands on steering wheels.
Faces behind windscreens.
Spectators leaning into the road.
Small gestures before and after the run.
The strongest images happen around the race as much as during it.
Automotive photography in the Swiss Alps
This series is a short visual impression of Bernina Gran Turismo 2025.
A classic hill climb in an alpine setting.
A mix of speed, heritage and atmosphere.
A place where automotive culture still feels physical, human and real.
Classic car stories photographed with atmosphere
I photograph automotive events, classic cars, private collections and editorial car stories in St. Moritz, the Engadin and across Switzerland. My focus is not only on the car itself, but on the world around it: road, light, people, movement and place. For private collectors, rallies, classic car events and automotive brands, I create editorial photo stories with a strong sense of atmosphere.
