Arosa Classic Car – 2026

Arosa Classic Car 2026

Faces, Machines & Mountain Roads — Arosa ClassicCar 2026

There are plenty of ways to photograph a historic motorsport event.

At Arosa ClassicCar I was less interested in building another catalogue of cars and more interested in everything surrounding them.

Drivers waiting in the paddock. Mechanics leaning over an open engine bay. Helmets, gloves, old racing suits and conversations between runs. Then a few kilometres further up the mountain those same cars attacking one of Switzerland’s most spectacular roads.

That contrast was what interested me most.

Arosa has all the ingredients you expect. Historic race cars, noise, speed and an Alpine backdrop but the quieter moments often tell the better story. The concentration before a run. A face through an open window. The atmosphere once the engine has been switched off.

For me this series became less about documenting a race and more about photographing the culture around it.

Old machines are interesting. The people who still race them are even more so.

Classic car stories photographed with atmosphere

I photograph automotive events, classic cars, private collections and editorial car stories in St. Moritz, the Engadin and across Switzerland. My focus is not only on the car itself but on the world around it: road, light, people, movement and place. For private collectors, rallies, classic car events and automotive brands I create editorial photo stories with a strong sense of atmosphere.
